...making disciples who make disciples...
Trusting God to raise up multiplying disciples on EVERY team on campus who create discipleship cycles that NEVER end & ultimately impact the nations and the world.
Every summer AIA hosts what we call Ultimate Training Camp (UTC) in several different locations across the U.S. UTC is a high intensity sports camp, created by Athletes in Action, for high school, college & pro athletes. Click on the link below to find out more:)
Athletes in Action started in 1966 and is now present in more than 90 countries. We are the sports ministry of Cru (formerly called Campus Crusade for Christ). Cru is the name of CCC in the United States. We have staff located on the college, professional and international level, as well as, at national headquarters in Xenia, OH.
Sports is a universal language. Everyone, regardless of race, culture, socio-economic status or religious conviction, understands the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. As we work toward the fulfillment of our goal of seeing Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation, we’re dependent on God to raise up national leaders around the world who will use the platform of sports to bring the gospel to their country. We really believe that entire cultures and nations can be changed for the better as athletic leaders use their unique positions to point others to Christ.
Vision: to see a day when there are Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation.
Mission: to build spiritual movements everywhere through the platform of sports so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus.
Statement of Faith:
As a Cru ministry, Athletes in Action holds to the Cru statement of faith:
The sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible, God's infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.
*you can read the rest of the statement of faith at AIA's website:
We don't have any upcoming events on campus, but we do have many summer opportunities within AIA that, if you're a collegiate athlete, we would love for you to pray about coming to. Pray about giving 1,2 or 3 weeks of your summer to the Lord. There's really nothing more important we can do than grow in our relationship with Him!

Scotty being the Director of Blueprint Tuscaloosa allows UA's student-athletes to reach out into the community and use their sport as a platform to influence younger kids in a positive way. For the third semester in a row, Blueprint has set up a character program where for two days a week, the student-athletes come to Holt Elementary to work with their students on setting goals for the semester and then reaching them. The goals they choose to set can be personal or school related. This character program has been such a success in the past semesters, that for this school year, Holt Elementary has allowed Scotty and Blueprint to work with the fourth AND fifth graders! It has been amazing to see how God is using Scotty and Blueprint to impact these kids' lives!
Alison Ringle is our new AIA intern at UA. She is a UA grad & former Cross Country runner. This is her first year on staff.
